Thuma Bed Dupes on Amazon: 5 Worth It, 3 to Skip
Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This page contains affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Nothing here is sponsored. Prices and ratings are what I saw in October 2026, and they move.

For the last few months, the same email keeps landing in my inbox. Readers know I own a Thuma bed, and they want to know if there's a Thuma bed dupe on Amazon that's actually worth buying.
I own the original. I bought the Thuma Classic Bed, frame only, after years of flat-pack frames that squeaked and sagged, and I wrote about why I switched from IKEA to Thuma when I did it. It now lives in an apartment I rent out, so I know exactly which details make it a Thuma.
I haven't slept on the Amazon beds below, and I'm not going to pretend I have. What I did was search for a long time. I read dozens of listings line by line, checked what each frame is really made of, read the reviews on every bed and on the sellers behind them, and compared return policies.
Five beds made it through. They fit the Thuma look, cost a fraction of the price, and hold up on paper. Three looked great until I read the fine print, and they're at the bottom so you don't buy them by mistake.
The Best Thuma Bed Dupes on Amazon at a Glance
The closest Thuma bed dupe on Amazon is the Softa Mikor: solid rubberwood, tool-free Japanese joinery, no metal parts, and about $300 for a queen frame. The FlexiSpot Hako G2 is the step up with a headboard and a 10-year warranty. The LIFEMENT Classic is the cheapest real rubberwood frame, and the HOMBCK boucle bed is the pick for Thuma's upholstered Signature look.

What You're Really Copying When You Buy a Thuma Dupe
A Thuma bed looks simple, and that's the trap. Plenty of low wood beds look like it in a photo. Having owned one, these are the four things that make it a Thuma, and the four things I checked on every dupe.
The wood. Thuma uses solid rubberwood, a dense hardwood. Not veneer, not MDF, not plywood dressed up with a wood-grain print.
The joinery. The pieces slot together wood to wood, with no screws, bolts or metal brackets. Mine went together in about seven minutes, and it has never squeaked.
The height. The frame sits about 9 inches off the floor. Low enough to feel grounded, high enough to vacuum under.
The lines. Rounded corners and straight, square legs. No taper, no angle, no carving.
That look is the backbone of warm minimalism: one honest material, nothing on it that doesn't need to be there.
My Classic frame cost $895. Today Thuma lists it at [CURRENT PRICE], and the upholstered Signature Bed starts at $1,395 for the frame alone. The beds below copy the wood, the joinery and the shape. None of them copy Thuma's lifetime warranty or 100-night trial, and I'll say where that matters.

How I Picked These Thuma Bed Dupes
Every bed on this list passed the same five checks. I threw out far more frames than I kept, usually over one line in the listing.
The wood has a name. I looked for a named species like rubberwood in the description and in the Material field, not just the word "wood." If the listing said engineered wood, plywood or MDF for the frame, it was out.
The joinery claim matches the parts list. "Japanese joinery" is a popular phrase on Amazon right now. I searched each page for iron, steel, bolts and screws. If they showed up, the joinery was decoration.
The legs are straight. Angled, tapered legs are mid-century, which is West Elm's language, not Thuma's. I covered those beds separately in my West Elm dupes.
At least 50 reviews, read from the bottom up. I read the 1, 2 and 3-star reviews first, because those tell you what a bed does in month six. I also note when one review count is shared across many sizes and colors.
The seller holds up. I checked who ships it, who handles returns, and whether Amazon flags the bed as a Frequently Returned Item. I dropped one frame with 510 reviews and a 4.5 rating over that flag alone.
Best Thuma Classic Bed Dupes to Buy on Amazon
These four copy the Classic, the plain wood frame most people mean when they say "Thuma." They're in order of how close they come.
1. Softa Mikor Japanese Joinery Bed: The Closest Thuma Dupe
About $300 for the queen frame, $600 with the headboard. Both drop around 15% during Amazon sales.
This is the one I'd send a friend who wants a Thuma and can't justify the price. The listing says 100% solid rubberwood, the same wood Thuma uses. It goes together with Japanese joinery, by hand, with no tools and no metal parts. The seller puts frame assembly at about 15 minutes.
It sits 10.5 inches off the floor, an inch and a half higher than my Thuma, which is enough for flat storage bins. The legs are 3.1 inches thick and straight. It's rated for 1,500 pounds and comes with a 10-year warranty.
The headboard version adds a solid rubberwood headboard with a storage shelf and USB-A and USB-C ports behind it. Thuma doesn't offer charging ports at any price.
The catch: the slats sit about 3.6 inches apart, and many foam mattress warranties ask for 3 inches or less, so check yours. The 69 reviews are shared across every size and both versions. It's sold by HomeRest, a third-party seller, with 30-day refund or replacement.

2. FlexiSpot Hako G2: The Thuma Dupe With the Best Warranty
About $660 for a queen, headboard included.
The Hako G2 is the most expensive bed here and the most complete. It's solid rubberwood in a walnut or natural finish, built with tool-free Japanese joinery. It's rated for 1,500 pounds and backed by a 10-year warranty.
The listing carries IAS and SGS certification, third-party testing marks you rarely see on Amazon furniture. FlexiSpot is also a bigger company than most names in this category, best known for standing desks. That matters the day you actually need the warranty.
It ships with a storage headboard, so buy it if you want a wood headboard from day one. It has 4.5 stars from 96 reviews, and more than 100 sold last month.
The catch: this is where the gap to a real Thuma is smallest, so compare it with Thuma's current price before you buy. "Walnut" is the finish, not the species; the wood is rubberwood. Sold by FlexiSpot with 30-day refund or replacement.
3. AllForWood Thor: The Most-Reviewed Japanese Joinery Bed
About $370 for a queen, often under $300 on sale.
Thor has the most reviews of any joinery bed I found: 167, at 4.5 stars, with an Amazon's Choice badge. It goes together with wood wedges and slots, no tools and no screws, in about 20 minutes. The corners are rounded the way Thuma's are, and it sits 10.5 inches off the floor.
It comes in five finishes and four sizes, from Twin XL to King. Light Oak is the closest to Thuma's natural color.
The catch: the listing says "carefully selected solid wood" but never names the species, and Light Oak is a color, not proof it's oak. The slats are LVL, a layered engineered wood that's strong but isn't solid. The warranty is one year, against ten on Mikor and Hako. Sold by All For Wood with 30-day refund or replacement.
4. LIFEMENT Classic: The Cheapest Real Rubberwood Frame
About $250 for a queen with the headboard, or $225 when the coupon is live.
LIFEMENT doesn't do Japanese joinery, and it doesn't pretend to. What it does is put a rubberwood frame, the same wood as Thuma, under $250. It has 548 reviews at 4.3 stars, and more than 200 sold last month, the most reviews of any bed in this guide.
The shape is plain and squared off, with a simple wood headboard. If you care more about the material and the look than about building it by hand, this is the money-saving pick.
The catch: the listing never claims tool-free assembly, so expect a regular hardware build. The reviews cover more than 20 color and size versions, and some are pine, not rubberwood. Pick Walnut, Black, Cherry, Gray or Natural, and skip anything that starts with "Pine." Sold by Lifement with 30-day refund or replacement.
Best Thuma Signature Bed Dupe on Amazon
The Signature is Thuma's upholstered bed: a low padded platform on an upcycled wood frame, with tool-free setup. It starts at $1,395 for the frame and $2,195 with the headboard.
Most upholstered beds on Amazon go the other way, with tall tufted or wingback headboards. That's RH's look, and those beds are in my RH dupes guide. For a Signature dupe I wanted soft, plain and low, and only one bed held up. If you're still choosing a fabric, my boucle vs. linen breakdown covers how each one wears.

HOMBCK Boucle Upholstered Bed: A Thuma Signature Dupe for About $210
$149.99 plus $59.99 shipping, so about $210 delivered.
It has what makes the Signature work. A thick padded base with rounded corners, a plain headboard with no buttons or channels, and fabric that wraps all the way around. The headboard height adjusts, and the boucle comes in beige plus three other colors.
It has 4.7 stars from 507 reviews, an Amazon's Choice badge, and more than 100 sold last month. At about a tenth of what the Signature costs with its headboard, it's the biggest saving on this list.
The catch: the listing never says what the frame under the fabric is made of. It mentions solid wood slats and stops there. Thuma tells you the Signature frame is upcycled wood; HOMBCK doesn't say, so treat it as an unknown. Assembly is the regular kind, pre-labeled parts with no drill, not wood joinery. Returns go through the seller, 30-day refund or replacement.

3 Thuma Bed Dupes to Skip
All three show up when you search for a Thuma dupe, and all three have decent ratings. Each one failed a different test, and each failure is worth knowing before you shop.
Skip: Merax Bamboo Japanese Joinery Bed
$219.99, 4.6 stars from 57 reviews.
The title promises Japanese joinery and tool-free assembly, which sounds right. Then look at the legs. They're angled and tapered, and the title itself calls the bed mid-century. That's a different brand's design language, not Thuma's straight, square legs.
It's also bamboo, which is a grass, not a hardwood. Bamboo can make a good bed, but it isn't the rubberwood argument a Thuma dupe should make. When I checked, it was on pre-order until October 12, 2026.
The rule: the legs tell you which brand a bed is really copying.

Skip: Bme Dinkee 15" Wood Bed Frame
$210, 4.4 stars from 153 reviews, sold by Amazon.
This one hurt, because the numbers are good and the wood looks great in photos. The description uses the phrase "Japanese joinery." Read a little further and it says "power coating iron frame," and the slats are LVL boards described as solid wood.
It also stands 15 inches tall on tapered legs, a long way from Thuma's low profile.
The rule: when a listing says joinery, search the page for iron, steel and bolts before you believe it.
Skip: Yechen Queen Wood Platform Bed
$129.99, 4.1 stars from 31 reviews.
The joinery here is real. No tools, no screws, no glue, and about 10 minutes to build. It's the cheapest bed in this whole search, and it looks the part.
But the description says it's made from "engineered wood and reinforced plywood." The queen listing also gives the size as 75 by 52 inches, while a queen mattress is 60 by 80. With 31 reviews, it's under my 50-review minimum too.
The rule: Japanese joinery tells you how the pieces connect, not what they're made of.
Thuma Bed Dupe FAQ
What is the best Thuma bed dupe on Amazon?
The Softa Mikor. It's solid rubberwood like the Thuma, uses tool-free Japanese joinery with no metal parts, and costs about $300 for a queen frame. If you want a headboard and a bigger brand behind the warranty, the FlexiSpot Hako G2 is the step up at about $660.
Is there a Thuma bed dupe under $300?
Yes. The Softa Mikor frame is $299.99 for a queen and drops lower during Amazon sales. The LIFEMENT Classic is $249.99 in rubberwood but skips the joinery. For the upholstered Signature look, the HOMBCK boucle bed is $149.99 plus $59.99 shipping.
Is a Thuma dupe worth it, or should I save for the real one?
Buy the real Thuma if you want a lifetime warranty, a 100-night trial, and a frame you'll move three times. Buy a dupe if you need a bed now, you're renting, or you'd rather put the difference toward a better mattress. The best dupes copy Thuma's wood and joinery, but not its warranty or trial.
What wood is a Thuma bed made of?
Solid rubberwood, also sold as hevea. It's a dense hardwood that comes from rubber trees after they stop producing latex. The Softa Mikor, FlexiSpot Hako G2 and LIFEMENT Classic all list rubberwood too.
How high is a Thuma bed off the floor?
The Thuma Classic sits about 9 inches off the floor. The Softa Mikor and AllForWood Thor both list 10.5 inches of clearance, which fits flat under-bed storage bins.
Do Japanese joinery beds on Amazon really need no tools?
The good ones don't. The Mikor, Hako G2 and Thor all slot together by hand. But many listings use "Japanese joinery" as a style word, so search the description for iron, steel, bolts or screws before you buy.
Is there a Thuma dresser dupe too?
Yes. I covered the Thuma Nest dresser, plus a few lookalikes for other popular dressers, in my Thuma dresser dupes guide.
My Honest Pick
If I were buying again on a budget, I'd get the Softa Mikor without the headboard. It's the only bed here that copies the three things I actually notice about my Thuma: the rubberwood, the wood-on-wood joinery, and no metal anywhere.
If you're furnishing a rental or a small bedroom around it, my small apartment decorating ideas go deeper on layout. And everything I'm buying for my own place right now is on my shop page.
