Christmas Decor Dupes on Amazon: 12 Worth It, 2 to Skip
Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. The photos are stock images. I haven't bought any of these items yet.
Last night I finally did the thing I put off every October. I opened Amazon, started a fresh saved list called Christmas 2026, and began adding the decor I planned to buy on Black Friday, which lands on November 27 this year.
I expected to save three or four things. I ended up with 12 Christmas decor dupes I liked so much that I'm writing them up now instead of waiting. There's a slim pre-lit tree for $99.99, a rattan tree collar that looks a lot like McGee & Co's $198 version, and glass icicle ornaments that work out to 47 cents each.
My home leans warm minimalist, so nothing here is glittery, cartoonish, or loud red and green. Every pick below comes with the high-end piece it copies, both prices, and the one thing I'd want to know before ordering. At the end are two popular listings I deleted from my list, and why.

How I Picked These Christmas Decor Dupes
Every item had to pass three checks before it stayed on my list. Anything that failed one got deleted on the spot.
The title matches the Material line. Amazon lists the material under the price. If a title says rattan and the Material line says paper rope, it's out.
The colors and lights fit a calm room. Warm white lights only, no glitter, no cartoon characters, and no head-to-toe red and green.
It costs at least 50% less than the original. I compared each pick to the Pottery Barn, McGee & Co, or Balsam Hill piece it resembles, using prices I checked on October 8 and 9, 2026.
I also checked who ships each item. Eleven of the twelve ship from Amazon and show free returns, which matters if something shows up looking nothing like its photos. It's the same routine I used for my Pottery Barn furniture dupes, just with more glass and greenery.
One honest exception: I usually want 50 or more reviews before I trust a listing. Five picks here have fewer because they're new for the 2026 season: the potted cedar pair (18), the cedar garland (16), the cedar wreath (26), the dried orange garland (37), and the brown glass ornaments (46). They passed every other check, so they stayed, and I flag each one below.
Christmas Tree Dupes
The tree is the biggest single spend, so it's also where the price gap is widest. These three cover the tree itself, the base, and the front porch.

Balsam Hill Christmas Tree Dupe: Hykolity 7.5 ft Slim Prelit Tree
This is the tree I'd put in a living room that can't give up a five-foot circle of floor. It's slim, hinged, and comes with 300 warm white LEDs, so there's no cold blue glare. The 798 branch tips include 87 pine needle accents for texture, and there's no fake snow anywhere.
Original: Balsam Hill 7.5 ft Pre-Lit Classic Blue Spruce, $699
Amazon price: $99.99 for Prime members, $109.99 regular
Rating: 4.3 stars from 1,394 reviews
Good to know: The tips are PVC, and the listing says so plainly. PVC looks a little flatter up close than the PE tips on high-end trees, so this one looks best fully decorated. It ships from a third-party seller, not Amazon, and the review count is shared with other Hykolity trees on the same page. Before you add it to your cart, make sure the options read "7.5 ft tree type 13" and "Warm White."
McGee & Co Tree Collar Dupe: CENBOSS Rattan Tree Collar
A woven collar hides the metal stand and makes an inexpensive tree look planned instead of plopped. McGee & Co's braided wicker collar is the one I kept seeing in holiday rooms I saved. CENBOSS gets the same chunky woven texture in a soft brown wash, and it has a cutout for the light cord so nothing pokes out the side.
Original: McGee & Co Braided Wicker Collar, $198
Amazon price: $59.99 for Prime members, $69.99 regular (24-inch)
Rating: 4.6 stars from 721 reviews
Good to know: It comes in 24, 35, and 42-inch sizes, and the rating is shared across all of them. Measure the widest point of your tree stand before you pick a size. The natural color costs the same if you want something lighter.
McGee & Co Potted Christmas Tree Dupe: GLIDLION 4 ft Cedar Pair
A matching pair of potted trees by the front door does more than a wreath alone ever does. McGee & Co sells a single 3 ft pre-lit potted tree for $148. GLIDLION's set gives you two 4 ft cedar trees in black pots for $99.99, which works out to about $50 each, and they arrive already assembled.
Original: McGee & Co 3' Norway Pre-Lit Faux Potted Tree, $148 each
Amazon price: $99.99 for two
Rating: 4.6 stars from 18 reviews (new listing)
Good to know: These are unlit, so plan on adding your own warm white string lights. Each tree measures 48 inches tall and 24 inches wide, and the pair weighs 20.1 pounds together. With only 18 reviews, this is one of the newest listings on my list.
Glass Christmas Ornament Dupes
Glass catches tree lights in a way plastic never does. All three sets below are listed as glass, not acrylic, and I'd hang them together: clear icicles for sparkle, brown and amber for warmth.

Pottery Barn Glass Icicle Ornament Dupe: OuMuaMua 64-Piece Glass Icicles
Pottery Barn's glass twist icicles come three to a box for $29.50. For almost the same money, this set gives you 64 clear glass icicles in three designs, enough to fill a 7.5 ft tree. The listing calls them handmade, and each one has its own bubble texture, so they don't look factory-perfect.
Original: Pottery Barn Glass Twist Icicle Ornament, set of 3, $29.50 (about $9.83 each)
Amazon price: $29.99 for 64 (about 47 cents each), or $19.99 for 32
Rating: 4.9 stars from 106 reviews
Good to know: Glass shipped in bulk can arrive with a few breaks, so count them when the box shows up and use the return window if you need it. Hang them near the branch tips, closest to the lights.
Pottery Barn Textured Glass Ornament Dupe: OuMuaMua Brown Glass Ball Set
This is the set I'm most excited about. You get 12 ribbed and swirled glass ornaments in brown, amber, and mocha, mixing round balls with onion shapes. On a green tree with warm white lights, they glow like old bottle glass.
Original: Pottery Barn Textured Glass Ball Ornament, $12.50 each
Amazon price: $32.99 for 12 (about $2.75 each)
Rating: 4.6 stars from 46 reviews (new listing)
Good to know: The rating is shared with the red and green versions of this set, so look for reviews that mention the brown one. Loops and hanging cord come attached, so there's nothing to thread.
Pottery Barn Glass Finial Ornament Dupe: NTMURIKS Brown Hand-Blown Finials
Long finial ornaments add height between round ones and keep a tree from looking polka-dotted. These are six 6-inch swirled glass finials in a deep amber brown, listed as hand-blown. Pottery Barn's glass finial ornament is $14.50 for a single piece.
Original: Pottery Barn Finial Glass Ornament, $14.50 each
Amazon price: $29.99 for 6 ($5.00 each)
Rating: 4.7 stars from 74 reviews
Good to know: The rating covers every color of this set. A clear version costs $36.99 if you'd rather match the icicles. At 6 inches long, they look best on trees 6 ft and taller.
Faux Christmas Greenery Dupes
Greenery is where cheap decor usually gives itself away, because thin, shiny needles look fake from across the room. These three are fuller than most of what I scrolled past, and two of them are cedar, the soft, drapey green McGee & Co uses everywhere.

McGee & Co Cedar Garland Dupe: YXZZWL 9 ft Cedar Garland
McGee & Co's 6 ft pre-lit cedar garland is $158. This one is a full, droopy cedar garland that comes in 6, 9, and 16 ft lengths, and the 6 ft size costs $29.99. I saved the 9 ft so it can hang past both ends of a mantel.
Original: McGee & Co 6' Cedar Pre-Lit Faux Garland, $158
Amazon price: $49.99 for 9 ft ($29.99 for 6 ft, $79.99 for 16 ft)
Rating: 5.0 stars from 16 reviews (new listing)
Good to know: It's plastic, and the listing says so. Unlike the McGee version it's unlit, so add a strand of warm white fairy lights. The 9 ft garland weighs 7.39 pounds, so hang it on sturdy hooks, not tape.
McGee & Co Pinecone Wreath Dupe: VIERENA 24-Inch Cedar Wreath
McGee & Co's 24-inch pinecone and berries wreath is $228. VIERENA's is the same size, with loose cedar, three-dimensional pinecones, and small red berries, for $29.99. It's the only pick on my list with a touch of red, and the berries are spaced out enough that it still feels calm.
Original: McGee & Co 24" Pinecone & Berries Faux Wreath, $228
Amazon price: $29.99
Rating: 4.8 stars from 26 reviews (new listing)
Good to know: It carries the Amazon's Choice badge and sold 100+ last month, but it only has 26 reviews so far. The listing says it resists fading and humidity, so a covered front door works.
McGee & Co Norfolk Pine Dupe: HyeFlora Norfolk Pine Stems
Loose Norfolk pine shows up in almost every McGee & Co holiday room. Their 6.5 ft Norfolk pine draping garland is $178, and it was on a waitlist when I checked. This pack gives you 12 soft 19-inch Norfolk pine stems plus 5 pine cone branches for $23.99, enough to line a mantel or tuck into the cedar garland above to make it look twice as full.
Original: McGee & Co 6.5' Norfolk Pine Draping Garland, $178 (waitlist)
Amazon price: $23.99 for 12 stems plus 5 pine cone branches
Rating: 4.5 stars from 587 reviews
Good to know: The title says "Real Touch," but it also says plastic picks, so you know what you're getting. It's Amazon's Choice and the most-reviewed greenery on my list.
Mantel and Tabletop Christmas Decor Dupes
Small pieces are what make a room feel decorated instead of just having a tree in the corner. These three go on a mantel, a console, or the middle of a dining table.

Pottery Barn Christmas Village Dupe: WANCHIY 13-Piece White Village Set
Pottery Barn's handcrafted ceramic village houses are red clay with a white finish, sold one size at a time. WANCHIY's set puts four white ceramic houses, seven little trees, and two white deer in one box, which is a full mantel scene. Since the Pottery Barn houses are ceramic too, this is one of the closest material matches on my list.
Original: Pottery Barn Handcrafted Ceramic Christmas Village Houses, sold individually
Amazon price: $39.99 (list price $48.42), or $31.99 with the on-page coupon
Rating: 4.8 stars from 63 reviews
Good to know: The listing photos show the houses lit with fairy lights, so I'm planning to tuck a battery strand of warm white lights behind them. It's Amazon's Choice, and it ships from Amazon.
Pottery Barn Sculpted Reindeer Dupe: DN DECONATION Reindeer Pair
Pottery Barn's sculpted reindeer are one of the most copied Christmas pieces out there, and last season they ran $19.50 to $79.50 each, depending on size. This pair gives you a similar standing and resting duo in a carved wood-grain finish instead of bronze. The lighter color looks better on a white mantel or a light oak table anyway.
Original: Pottery Barn Sculpted Bronze Reindeer, $19.50 to $79.50 each (2025 prices)
Amazon price: $26.99 for two in Wood Color (other colors run $24.99 to $25.99)
Rating: 4.4 stars from 372 reviews
Good to know: They're resin, and the title says so. Each deer wears a small gold-toned pinecone wreath. The listing calls them small decor, so check the measurements against your mantel before ordering.
McGee & Co Dried Orange Garland Dupe: VIUMVC Dried Orange Slice Garland
McGee & Co's faux dried orange garland is $44 for 6 ft. This one is made from real dried orange slices on twine, 10 ft long, and the 2-pack I saved is $28.99. Real fruit has the uneven color the faux versions try to copy, and the listing says it carries a light natural scent.
Original: McGee & Co 6' Faux Dried Oranges Garland, $44
Amazon price: $28.99 for two 10 ft garlands, or $14.99 for one
Rating: 4.9 stars from 37 reviews (new listing)
Good to know: Real dried fruit doesn't last forever. Keep it away from humid spots like the stove, and expect one or two seasons before the color fades. The faux McGee version will outlast it, but this one looks more real. It's Amazon's Choice, with 100+ bought last month.
2 Christmas Decor Listings to Skip
Both of these sat on my list for about ten minutes. Each one failed the first check, and each failure comes with a quick test you can run on any listing.
Skip: The Pre-Decorated Pencil Tree That Can't Decide on Its Lights
The Best Choice Products 7.5 ft pre-decorated spruce pencil tree is popular, with a 4.5-star rating from 2,159 reviews at $159.99. But when I checked on October 8, the title promised twinkling LED lights, while the bullet points listed incandescent bulbs. Those are different products. Incandescent bulbs run hotter and use more power, and if a listing can't agree with itself on the lights, I don't trust the rest of the page either. The red berries are also built into the branches, so you can't restyle it later.
The 15-second test: press Ctrl+F (Command+F on a Mac) on the listing and search for "LED," then "incandescent." If both describe the same tree, close the tab.
Skip: The "Rattan" Tree Collar Made of Paper Rope
This 24-inch collar costs $42.49, and its title calls it a rattan tree collar and a paper rope tree base cover in the same breath. Paper rope can look fine, but it isn't rattan, and it can soften or sag if it gets wet. It also had only 13 reviews. For $17.50 more at the Prime price, the CENBOSS collar above has 721 reviews.
The 15-second test: scroll to the Material line under the price. If it doesn't match the first material named in the title, skip it.
What the Whole List Costs Next to the Originals
All 12 picks come to $552.88 at the prices I saw on October 8 and 9, 2026, which is less than the Balsam Hill tree on its own ($699). Here's how each one compares, using the closest unit I could match.
Piece | Original | Original price | Amazon pick | Amazon price | Difference |
Pre-lit tree | Balsam Hill 7.5 ft Classic Blue Spruce | $699 | Hykolity 7.5 ft Slim | $99.99 | 86% less |
Tree collar | McGee & Co Braided Wicker Collar | $198 | CENBOSS 24-inch | $59.99 | 70% less |
Potted porch tree | McGee & Co 3 ft Norway Potted Tree | $148 each | GLIDLION 4 ft pair | $50 each | 66% less |
Glass icicles | Pottery Barn Glass Twist Icicle | $9.83 each | OuMuaMua 64-piece | $0.47 each | 95% less |
Brown glass balls | Pottery Barn Textured Glass Ball | $12.50 each | OuMuaMua 12-piece | $2.75 each | 78% less |
Glass finials | Pottery Barn Finial Glass Ornament | $14.50 each | NTMURIKS 6-piece | $5.00 each | 66% less |
Cedar garland | McGee & Co 6 ft Cedar Garland | $158 | YXZZWL 6 ft | $29.99 | 81% less |
Wreath | McGee & Co 24-inch Pinecone & Berries | $228 | VIERENA 24-inch | $29.99 | 87% less |
Norfolk pine | McGee & Co 6.5 ft Norfolk Pine Garland | $178 | HyeFlora 12 stems | $23.99 | Different format |
Village houses | Pottery Barn Ceramic Village Houses | Sold one at a time | WANCHIY 13-piece set | $39.99 | Full set in one box |
Reindeer | Pottery Barn Sculpted Bronze Reindeer | $19.50 to $79.50 each | DN DECONATION pair | $13.50 each | Depends on size |
Dried orange garland | McGee & Co 6 ft Faux Dried Oranges | $7.33 per foot | VIUMVC 10 ft | $1.50 per foot | 80% less |
Two things the table can't show: the tree and collar prices are Prime member prices, and the Pottery Barn reindeer prices are from the 2025 season.
When I'm Buying: My Black Friday Plan
Black Friday is November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Here's how I'm handling the list until then.

Everything stays in my saved list. Amazon marks price drops on saved items, so I check the list every few days instead of searching from scratch.
The big pieces wait for Black Friday. The tree, the collar, and the porch trees have the most room to drop.
The newer listings don't wait if stock gets low. If the wreath or the cedar garland shows a low-stock warning, I'll buy it early. A $29.99 wreath isn't worth losing over a $5 discount.
Glass ships first. I'll order the icicles and finials early enough to count any breaks and get replacements before December.
If your place is on the smaller side, start with the slim tree, the Norfolk pine stems, and the village set, and leave the porch pair for next year. I wrote more about making a small space feel finished in my small apartment decorating guide. And if you're shopping for other people this season, my list of aesthetic home gifts follows the same rules as this one.
Christmas Decor Dupes FAQ
Are Amazon Christmas decor dupes worth buying?
Yes, for pieces where the overall look matters more than the material, like garlands, wreaths, tree collars, and glass ornaments. The 12 picks above cost $552.88 together, less than one $699 Balsam Hill tree. Where dupes fall short is close-up detail, so decorate PVC trees and plastic greenery fully.
What is the best Pottery Barn reindeer dupe on Amazon?
My pick is the DN DECONATION reindeer pair, $26.99 for one standing and one resting deer, with 4.4 stars from 372 reviews. Pottery Barn's sculpted bronze reindeer ran $19.50 to $79.50 each last season. The pair I saved is a wood-grain finish, and the listing has other finishes from $24.99.
Is a PVC or PE artificial Christmas tree better?
PE tips are molded to copy real needles, so they look more like a live tree up close. PVC tips are flat cut needles that cost less and still fill out a tree well. Most budget trees use PVC, and a fully decorated PVC tree, like the Hykolity, hides most of the difference.
When is Black Friday 2026, and should I wait to buy Christmas decor?
Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Big items like trees and collars have the most room to drop that week. Newer listings can sell out first, so save everything to a list now and buy small, low-stock pieces as soon as you see a warning.
How long does a real dried orange garland last?
Usually one or two seasons. Real dried orange slices slowly fade and can soften in humid rooms, so keep the garland away from the stove and store it somewhere dry. If you want something that lasts for years, a faux version like McGee & Co's $44 garland will outlast it.
How can I tell if an Amazon decor listing is honest about materials?
Compare three spots: the title, the Material line under the price, and the bullet points. If they name different materials, or different bulbs on a lit item, skip it. Then read the one-star to three-star reviews for words like broken, faded, or flimsy.
The Short Version
If you only buy three things from this list, make it the Hykolity slim tree ($99.99 with Prime), the CENBOSS rattan collar ($59.99), and the 64-piece glass icicles ($29.99). That's a finished tree for about $190, compared with roughly $900 for the Balsam Hill tree and McGee & Co collar alone. Everything else is a nice extra. And if you want to see what I'm buying for my own place the rest of the year, it's all on my shop page. About Nina Sajaia
